Ferdinand Magellan was a Portuguese explorer who proved out that the world is in a shape of a sphere in a time when many believed that the world is flat and you may fall of the edge if you go near it! it was honor to join the legend Magellan to accompany him on his journey. Magellan took his fleet of five ships with crew of 270 left south-west Spain on 20 September 1519. We are supported by Habsburg emperor Charles V; the voyage is funded by the German banking money. Our fleet sets to canary island but our ship is already dogged with problems which is that we ran out of supplies and we got Portuguese ships trying to arrest us for being as a traitor in the pay of Spain. We finally cross through the Atlantic and arrived at Rio de Janeiro Bay. After a grueling journey south, putting down a mutiny, Magellan discovers “Magellan’s strait”, a route through the southern tip of South America to the pacific. In that time in a terrible condition, we lost another ship. On November 1520 Magellan finally emerges into open sea. The sea he called the Mare Pacificum means peaceful sea. Magellan becomes embroiled in conflicts between rival chieftains. Magellan and his they were killed in Philippines beach on 27 April 1521
